The federal government has introduced a new plan to manage the noise pollution humans create in the ocean called the Ocean Noise Strategy Roadmap. Whales and dolphins use sound to navigate, find their food, and communicate with each other. Noise pollution can cause everything from hearing loss, disruption in breeding patterns, and even death. With this new plan to manage the noise, we will be taking a step towards having less of an impact on the marine mammals.
