Workers from the Marine Mammal Center noticed a harbor seal pup stranded with no adult around. They let him be for one night, as the mother could be scavenging for food. The next day, he was still in the same place, so the rescue volunteers picked him up. After they took him in, they noticed that he was only a few days old. Without the mother’s milk, pups are at a high risk of illness. The Marine Mammal Center had to take extra care of this pup before letting him go again.
